Ms. Davenport is overjoyed to join the Equitas #2 team as a 5th grade Non-Fiction teacher! She grew up in Wasilla, AK, but has now called California home for the last five years. She wholeheartedly believes that each scholar is built and capable for great success in higher education, and finds great joy in getting to join Equitas, whose mission works perfectly with this belief. She is so excited to help shape and push students in their scientific and historical analysis skills, as well as their many other intellectual abilities. Most recently she was a student teacher/long-term substitute in the Norwalk-La Mirada School District, and a US History teacher at Whittier Christian High School in La Habra, California. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in History with an emphasis in Secondary Education from Biola University in May 2017, and is also a perpetual member of the Torrey Honors Institute, the great books program at Biola. She completed her teaching credential program through Biola, and received her Single Subject Social Science credential this last January. When not teaching at Equitas #2, Ms. Davenport can be found running, being with friends, watching the Office, talking to her quadruplet siblings, or reading the many books on her ever growing list.
