Mr. Hayes is a Physical Education teacher at Equitas Academy.  He was born and raised in South Los Angeles. As a male from South LA, Mr. Hayes had many odds stacked against him.  Fortunately, at a young age he developed a passion for sports and used it as a positive outlet. Through sports, Mr. Hayes was able to develop strong characteristics such as leadership and teamwork skills. Later, Mr. Hayes decided to turn his passion for sports into a career which led him to pursuing his Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education with a minor in Business Management. He earned  his degree from Cal State University of Dominguez Hills. Shortly after graduating Mr. Hayes worked as a P.E Instructional Aide in Lennox School District and worked briefly as a Personal Trainer in the city of Gardena. Mr. Hayes is now very excited to work for Equitas Academy because of their high academic achievements and their college driven mission. Mr. Hayes believes that college should be pursued by every young scholar because knowledge is power and the key to success. After a long day at work or on the weekends you can catch Mr.Hayes at the bowling alley or at the movies, these are just a few of his hobbies.
