Mr. Colindres joined Equitas Academy in 2022 as the In-House Substitute Teacher. He is delighted to begin his first year as a 7th grade English teacher. He was born and raised in Los Angeles and graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism. He is passionate about supporting scholars, parents, and building a strong relationship with the community. He looks to inspire everyone he interacts with. Mr. Colindres enjoys learning as much as he does teaching and implements that into his classroom through hands-on experience and real world application. He has worked as a journalist for the Los Angeles Times and as a substitute and after school teacher for several years before making the move to Equitas Academy. He is motivated by the scholar's curiosity and drive to learn and wants to create positive change through education. In his free time Mr. Colindres enjoys watching films, reading books, and spending time in nature. He plans to continue his education by attending graduate school in the near future.
