April J. Adams is the School Director at Equitas Academy Middle School. She has worked in elementary and middle school education for the past 12 years in Los Angeles, CA and Houston, TX as a multiple subject teacher and moved into school leadership as Dean of Culture and Assistant Director. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from University of California, Davis. She has also completed a certification program through Loyola Marymount University for Executive Leadership in Educations. Ms. Adams believes that structure and consistency contribute to academic success. She has decided that she will be committed to helping scholars climb the mountain to college through providing them with a safe and structured learning environment, where they will grow academically and socially. In her role at Equitas, she is looking forward to helping build a strong and consistent school culture filled with joy and high expectations, where children and adults work together to achieve academic excellence and use social-intelligence to make positive contributions to society. When Ms. Adams is not on campus interacting with staff and scholars, you can find her at the mall or entertaining her friends and family with home cooked meals.
