Mr. Londoño is ecstatic to join the Equitas team and contribute to its mission of providing all scholars with a quality education that will push them to and through a 4-year college or university. He is a firm believer that every scholar has potential for greatness and should be given the structures and supports to achieve his or her goals. Mr. Londoño joined Equitas to serve as a 5th grade Humanities teacher, providing scholars with a rich education in Literature and World History while building authentic relationships within the classroom. Prior to entering the world of education, Mr. Londoño was employed in the entertainment industry, but discovered his true passion for empowering youth when he began working at an after-school enrichment program in LAUSD elementary schools. Since then, he has made it his goal to serve communities in need and to fight for equity in education. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee with a degree in Philosophy, and earned his teaching credential in Social Studies from California State Long Beach. When not in the classroom, Mr. Londoño can be found rooting for his hometown Lakers and Dodgers, reading, and exploring new music, films, and restaurants.
